IMAS - ANIMALE | INTERNATIONAL MANTRAILING SCHOOL

IMAS-ANIMALE, based in South Limburg's Wijnandsrade Netherlands, is a professional training institute for professional mantrailing handlers, mantrailing instructors dogschool, professional mantrailing instructors and mantrailing specialists.

The ANIMALE behaviour practice for animals, dog school and education centre decided in 2016 to found the IMAS institute. IMAS is an international school for education on Mantrailing, detection and nose-work. There have been changes in both the education of this discipline and the profession in itself, and a clear description of the professions of the (recreational) Mantrailing dog trainers and handlers (SAR and USAR) is lacking. This made it necessary to write this company and member profile.  Knowledge about the sport of Mantrailing and (both in recreational and professional form) is continually subject to new insights and changes. This means that the dog instructors and handlers constantly need to be able to adjust to new knowledge and developments within their profession.

While the discipline is highly useful in search and rescue efforts in the case of real missing person(s), it can also be enjoyed as a recreational pastime. IMAS-ANIMALE is an institute which caters to both of these professional and recreational ends, in which knowledge transfer and assessment are priorities. In this regard, IMAS-ANIMALE aims to offer a qualitatively excellent educational programme, making use of courses, seminars, practical sessions, etc. In doing so, IMAS-ANIMALE also aims to give clarity to third parties about the difference between the professional and recreational form of Mantrailing.

What is mantrailing?

Mantrailing is searching for a specific person by using his scent trail to follow by a mantrailing team (handler and trackingdog). It is not only a very useful professional work in case of 'real' missions, it is also a great sport to practice in a recreational manner. IMAS-ANIMALE aims to offer a qualitatively excellent educational programme, making use of courses, seminars, practical sessions, etc.

ANIMALE dog school has been offering mantrailing for mid-2009 to students at the dog school. IMAS-ANIMALE also provides the specilized courses to students al around europe. You will therefor find IMAS-ANIMALE members listed on this site that are stationed in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and Poland. Not all our participants are listed, only does who carrie out our knowledge and vision. ANIMALE has been sold to a recreative trainer in 2020 and does not offer our specialized training in Scentdogs annymore. For professional training contact u at IMAS k9 Professionals
